Innovation and Pioneering in Drone Education

As a co-founder and technical director of MyDroneAcademy ApS, I was instrumental in establishing Denmark's first approved drone school, a groundbreaking milestone in the country's drone education sector. My role extended beyond traditional management; I was also an active part of teaching and examination as an approved examiner for category 2 drone certificates.

An Integrated Education Platform

In the wake of new drone regulations, I developed a comprehensive IT platform from scratch. This system was designed to handle all aspects of drone education, from registration to examination. With NemID integration, we verified new drone pilots' CPR numbers, ensuring a smooth and secure identification process.

Efficient Management and Logging

The system managed all phases of education, from logging flight experience to adherence to deadlines for theoretical and practical tests. This significantly streamlined the entire process, with data easily exported to relevant authorities, such as the Danish Transport and Construction Agency - a process that took minutes compared to competitors' weeks.

Innovative App for Theory Tests

We also developed an iOS app where students could take their theory tests. As an examiner, I could monitor the students' screens through my own iPad, lock them to specific apps, or guide them through the educational material during lessons. The theory tests were evaluated and logged instantly in the system, and upon passing, students were automatically granted the option to book flight tests or rebooking if a retest was needed.

Automation and Efficiency

This automation and efficient use of technology enabled us to run a profitable business with high customer satisfaction with just one full-time employee. MyDroneAcademy stood as an example of how innovative IT solutions can transform the education industry and create significant value for both students and businesses.
